Lokomotion

2004 Bay Hanoverian Stallion

unnamedPurchased from Landgestuet Celle stud in Adelheisdorf Germany in December 2007, Lokomotion was imported by Dreamcatcher Meadows where he stood at stud and competed both in dressage and jumping for three years. Undefeated with rider John Dingle in his FEI 4 and 5 year old dressage competitions, judges enthused he was “one of the most exciting prospects for international competition ”. However, his impeccable genetic gifts passed on from his infamous show jumping sire Lordanos, ran true. He preferred to jump, and in 2010 he committed to a jumping career with Gary Brewster and continues to enjoy success in this discipline in Canada and the United States.

Long negotiation and a desire to spread excellence in the breed to North America, convinced Landgestuet Celle to part with their rising star , originally purchased at the Verden Stallion auction for their own breeding program.

Dr. Ludwig Christmann, International Breed Program Director recommends Lokomotion as “a big framed stallion with a lot of presence and good conformation, great temperament and rideability. He is very versatile and with his unusual, but performance based pedigree, should match many different types of mares : those with the classical dressage pedigrees and jumper mares as well.” His sire Lordanos is exceptionally talented over fences, scoring 10 in his performance test and in competition demonstrates unlimited scope, exceptional bascule and leg technique. Lordanos’ record as young horse champion (Bundeschampionat), his Grand Prix results and 20 licensed sons, crossed with the traits of Landseiger’s ability to produce winners in dressage and jumping, as well as Lokomotion’s high scores at his 300 day test, explain the Landgestuet Celle’s choice in selecting Lokomotion for his pedigree.
